CartersCarters lake temp 59
Level full
Clarity 10ft
The walleye are deep ,for the most part 50,75,90ft even . On cloudy days start shallow ( 50ft) on sunny days start deep . Heavy spoons ,jigs,or live bait on a down line all need to be presented as deep as possible. Look for fish pinned to the bottom near bait balls. Long flat marks is what you want to see . Hit em in the face season is here!! You gotta get the offering on their nose to get bit most days . The temps should dip down into the lower 50s by the end of the month ending this warm spell. We’ve seen some great fish in the last few weeks and it should only get better as the month progresses.
With the warm temps holding on we are catching striped fish like it’s fall one day and straight up summer time fishing the next . You can pull boards shallow in the morning and be fishing 50ft deep by 10am . Use light line and small hooks for more action as the waters pretty clear after turn over . Every creeks holding fish and bait right now so location isn’t that important. Cruise around and find fish before you start fishing. Fishing blind right now is a death sentence.
